Hormones Testosterone Could Increase Due Married

Married Make hormone Testosterone Increases

There is some good news behind a wedding. A recent research indicates that married men have testosterone levels are much higher than their counterparts who are not married.

As is known, naturally, testosterone production will drop with increasing age. But the latest research reveals, the decline in testosterone production is not always due to age, but also related to the behavior, such as smoking, obesity and depression.

In the study, researchers analyzed testosterone measurements in more than 1,500 men. Their hormone levels tested twice, with each test within five years. All samples were tested with the same measurement in the time before and after five years.

Fellow researcher, Dr. Gary Wittert, of the University of Adelaide discovered that the testosterone level participants on average fell by 1 percent each year.

However, when divided into subgroups, researchers found a different pattern, where certain factors seem to influence a more significant decrease in testosterone levels during the study period. The largest decrease production of testosterone occurred among men who are obese, had stopped smoking and depressed.

"When a person stops smoking, the decline in testosterone levels tend to be lower. The benefits of quitting smoking is huge, "says Wittert.

This study also showed that participants were not married had a greater reduction in testosterone levels than men who were married.

Wittert said these findings may support other studies showing that married men tend to be happier and healthier than single men. He also says that regular sexual activity tends to increase testosterone levels.

The study was funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.

In men, testosterone is produced in the testicles. This hormone controls the development of male sexual characteristics. The existence of this hormone is very vital because it affects health, sexual function and fertility and helps maintain a healthy body composition, to develop muscle mass, insufficient number of red blood cells, and protect bone density.

"It's important doctors understand that declining testosterone levels are not just part of the aging process. It is also strongly influenced by health behaviors or health status itself, "he concluded. Source: fox news, Medicalnewstoday
